Happy holidays! Its the beginning of Christmas week and I'm launching my first blog. Finally! I hope you find this space to be of interest to you and we can have some lively discussions about all sorts of topics.
Today, I will suggest that if you are one of the thousands who has recently been laid off or downsized or given early retirement, etc. from corporate america, and you are thinking of going out on your own...its a great time to do it! One path to success is through franchising. Investing in the right franchise right now, can be very lucrative. Some franchisors are more willing to negotiate, if you need to lease space, rates are down and vacancies are up, some concepts are doing very well in this economic downturn. Some concepts are not, and some you want to steer well clear of. Recognized brands don't ensure success.
